George assists the Section Manager with Youth and Scouting activities.  George has been a registered Scout for 35 years and a ham for 30 years.  A Scout and leader at all levels,  he is also a retired Middle School Math and Science teacher. He enjoys all phases of amateur radio and participates in ARES as an AEC for District 11 and a member of Boulder County RACES.  As an adult Scouter he has participated in JOTA as long as he has been a ham and served on staff at National Jamborees in ’85, ’97 and 2001.  Currently living in Niwot, George writes young adult literature about ham radio and Scouts.
