Box 21362Boulder, CO 80308-4362 wm0g@arrl.net Jack has been licensed as since 1958 when he was assigned his original callsign of K1IVY. He was active for a number of years, then took a hiatus from Amateur Radio; returning in 1987 when he obtained his current Amateur Extra Class call. His primary interest within the hobby is DXing using CW and SSB. Jack is currently the president of the Boulder Amateur Radio Club (BARC). He has been very involved, along with other BARC members, with getting young people involved in Amateur Radio and during the past 18 years, BARC members have taught, licensed and "Elmered" over 180 young hams under the age of 18 including many who have attained Extra Class privileges. He also is a member of the Mile High DX Association and the Grand Mesa Contest Club and a member of QCWA Chapter 58. Jack has been very active in Boulder County ARES (BCARES) District 11 activities for many years where he was a past EC and currently serves as their Public Information Officer. Jack has worked in the electronics industry since he left the Air Force in 1966. He has worked as an engineer, marketing manager and as a national sales manager for internationally known electronic companies. His current business interests are with an electronic manufacturers rep company and a document management company that specializes in providing information capture, compliance, document management and conversion services. Jack serves on the Cabinet as advisor to the Section Manager for activities and issues in Boulder County and the surrounding area.
